About
Bonjour, I'm Simone.
English teacher, forever grateful for a warm welcome in France, and a firm believer that fluency is built one real conversation at a time.

My Story
A place I could barely speak the language of made me feel like I belonged.
Years ago I arrived in France with textbook French and a lot of nerves, half-expecting the cold reception every language learner fears. Instead, people leaned in. They slowed down, filled in my sentences, laughed with me instead of at my mistakes, and made a foreigner feel like a neighbor. I've never forgotten that feeling.
When I came home, I started noticing it everywhere: French speakers building new lives in the U.S., holding excellent English on paper but freezing the moment a real conversation started. I recognized that fear immediately — I'd felt it myself, in reverse, on every French street corner.
So I started English with Simone: lessons built on the same warmth I was given in France. My goal with every student is the same — to help you feel less like a guest in the language, and more like you belong in it.

What I Believe
Teaching English, differently.
Patience over perfection
Mistakes are part of speaking a new language, not a sign you're doing it wrong. My lessons make room for them.
Conversation over drills
You'll spend far more time speaking and listening than filling in worksheets or memorizing grammar tables in isolation.
Culture as the doorway
Understanding why Americans say what they say (and don't) makes English click in a way grammar rules alone never will.
“I don't just want you to know English. I want you to feel like you belong in it — even just for one good conversation.”
Ready to speak English?
You don't need to be fluent to start. You just need to start.
